During the second quarter of 2023, the top 5 delivered meal kits and specialty foods applications in Ghana exhibited diverse trends in weekly downloads and active users, according to Sensor Tower data.

Meal Kit Delivery saw a notable increase in weekly downloads mid-quarter, peaking at 703 in the week of May 15. However, a significant drop followed, with downloads falling to 177 by the end of June. Active users steadily climbed throughout the quarter, starting at 821 in late March and reaching a peak of 2.4K in mid-June before ending at 2.1K.

Buy the Right Wine had a strong surge in downloads, particularly in early May, peaking at 449. This was followed by a decline, with weekly downloads dropping to 61 by the last week of June. Active users displayed a similar pattern, with numbers rising to 631 in mid-June and then falling to 414 by the end of the quarter.

Prepared Meal Delivery experienced growth in weekly downloads, peaking at 301 in early June but dropping to 41 by the end of the month. The app's active users also saw a rise, starting at 48 in late March and climbing to a high of 487 in mid-June before slightly decreasing to 339 at the quarter's close.

Cooking Simplified showed modest download numbers, peaking at 106 in early May and then declining to just 10 by the end of June. Active users increased steadily from 64 in late March to a peak of 268 in mid-May, before stabilizing around 238 towards the end of the quarter.

Healthy Recipes had a gradual increase in downloads, peaking at 116 in late June. Active users also saw a notable rise, reaching 228 by the end of the quarter, up from 54 in early May.
